Win one for the ‘Tree’
CBS took viewers inside the Stanford locker room for coach Jim Harbaugh’s over-the-top pregame speech. Harbaugh was clearly playing to the cameras.

Question No. 1: "Who’s got a better opportunity in the country than us?”

Question No. 2: "I’ve got a question for you, one we like to ask around here: DO YOU BELIEVE?”

If you were wondering why OU and Stoops didn’t demand equal pregame time, you’re not from the 405 or 918 area codes. Not the Sooner style.

Beuerlein bloopers
Beuerlein has probably had better days. During pregame he proclaimed it "very doubtful” that injured Stanford QB Andrew Luck would play, just as CBS showed a shot of Luck during warmups, wearing a sweat suit and no pads.

A few minutes later he asserted OU "wants to prove it’s a program on the rise.” There are a lot of things the Sooners wanted and needed to prove, but that isn’t one of them.

Beuerlein struggled with a few names, butchering Dominique Franks — coming up with something that sounded like "Ndomekay Franks” — and calling Mossis Madu "Morris.” And then there was his fourth-quarter observation that Ryan Broyles "still had a little gas in the tank.” Sorry, but anyone with a sense of humor and/or knowledge of Broyles’ past couldn’t help but thinking of a certain incident.
