TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona State's offense should be just fine. Taylor Kelly is back, so is Jaelen Strong and the offensive line should be in solid shape.

The defense is another story.

Coming off a 10-win season and a Pac-12 South title, the Sun Devils had to rebuild their defense heading into 2014.

Arizona State lost nine starters from last season, including tackle Will Sutton and Carl Bradford, both in the NFL.

Tackle Jaxon Hood and safety Damarious Randall are the only starters back, leaving coach Todd Graham to fill in the rest of the defense with young and inexperienced players.

There's some talent there, but they will need to learn on the run with what will be a difficult schedule after the opener against Weber State on Aug. 28.
