Story line: The RedHawks lost their second straight game to Omaha on Sunday afternoon at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark.

On the mound: Eric Hurley (2-4) started and went 7 1/3 innings, allowing six hits and five earned runs. He struck out four. Hurley cruised through the first four innings before surrendering a two-run homer to Chris Lubanski in the fifth. Hurley's last eight earned runs have come from home runs.

Going … going … gone: Right fielder Nelson Cruz hit his 17th homer of the season, a solo shot in the sixth inning.

Reunion week: Hurley faced former high school teammate Billy Butler, who finished 1-for-3 with a walk. The pair played together at Wolfson High School in Jacksonville, Fla. Both were first-round picks in 2004.

Up next: Omaha (Matt Wright, 1-2, 4.99 ERA) at RedHawks (Kason Gabbard, 0-0), 12:05 p.m.
