9:20 a.m. Smoke in central Oklahoma appears to be coming from a 100-acre wildfire in Osage County, said Curt Goeller at the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality. Skies are hazy with smoke across central Oklahoma and north to Osage County Friday morning. 5:40 a.m. Oklahoma City area residents may wake up to the smell of smoke in the air Friday. Hazy skies are reported across central Oklahoma. North of Tulsa, a wildfire in Osage County has been contained by firefighters, but continues to burn out, and it is a possible source of the smoke that has traveled south in north winds, according to social media and local TV reports.
4:15 a.m. Friday will be sunny with light winds and temperatures in the low 80s in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.
High winds will return Saturday. There is a chance for storms Sunday.
