Sunny conclusion to Fourth of July weekend

An upper-level ridge of high pressure centered over the central Rockies will build to the east over the weekend, bringing dry and hot weather to the southern Plains through Sunday.
Thunderstorms chances return to Oklahoma as early as Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.
A sunny day is expected Sunday and Monday with highs from the low 80s to near 100.
Oklahoma forecast
• Tonight: Lows from the upper 60s in the Panhandle to the mid-70s in the west-central. Slight chance of rain and thunderstorms in the east.
• Sunday: Highs from the lower 90s in the east to about 100 in the Panhandle.
• Sunday night: Lows from the upper 60s in the Panhandle to the mid-70s in the west-central.
• Monday: Highs from the lower 90s in the northeast to about 100 in the southwest.
Oklahoma City-area forecast
• Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-70s. Southerly winds 10 to 15 mph.
• Sunday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 90s. Southerly winds 10 to 20 mph.
• Sunday night: Clear. Lows in the mid-70s. Southerly winds 10 to 20 mph.
• Monday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 90s. Southerly winds 15 to 20 mph.
• Monday night: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-70s. Southerly winds 10 to 20 mph.
