Sunny skies and summertime heat return to central Oklahoma Thursday

Oklahoma temperatures are warming up Thursday. Temperatures will be in the 90s with sunshine and calm winds, the National Weather Service reports.

Thursday will feel a little more like summer in Oklahoma.

Temperatures will be in the 90s with sunshine Thursday, the National Weather Service reports. Sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-90s are in the forecast for the rest of the week and through Wednesday.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 92. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 72. South wind 6 to 10 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 94. Heat index values as high as 98. Southwest wind 8 to 11 mph.

Friday night: Mostly clear with a low around 73. South wind 8 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 94. South, southwest wind 9 to 11 mph.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 72.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high near 94.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 72.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 94.

Monday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 74.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 96.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 73.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 95.
