Sunny skies are ahead with temperatures in the 60s Friday in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

The chance for rain Friday night and Saturday is 20 percent.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Friday: Sunny with a high near 63. South wind 8 to 13 mph.

Friday night: A 20 percent chance of showers after midnight. Mostly cloudy with a low around 56. South wind 11 to 21 mph with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny with a high near 74. Windy with a south wind 23 to 26 mph with gusts as high as 37 mph.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 56. South wind 16 to 22 mph with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Sunday: Sunny with a high near 70. Southwest wind 11 to 20 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.

Sunday night: Mostly clear with a low around 35.

Monday: Sunny with a high near 57.

Monday night: Mostly clear with a low around 37.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 60.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 39.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 59.

Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 43.
