A sunny, warm day with temperatures in the upper 80s is ahead Thursday in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 87. Light north, northeast wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 65. East, northeast wind 3 to 8 mph.

Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy with a high near 85. Light northeast wind becoming east northeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Friday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 66. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy with a high near 85. Southeast wind 5 to 8 mph.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 68.

Sunday: Partly sunny with a high near 89.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 71.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 90.
