Sunny weekend ahead for Oklahoma City

Clear skies could give way to rain on Memorial Day.

Morning clouds will quickly give way to sunshine on Saturday, a trend that should continue through Sunday and possibly into Memorial Day.

National Weather Service reports highs near 92 degrees Saturday, with slight south winds that could gust as high as 31 mph. Low for Saturday night should be about 70 degrees.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible over far western Oklahoma later in the evening as a dry line extending from Hollis to Alva settles in.

Sunday will again be sunny with highs again in the 90s.

There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms on Memorial Day, but highs are again expected to be in the 90s.

Monday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 89.

Tuesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70.

Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 84.

Wednesday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 74.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 77.
