A sunny and windy day is ahead in central Oklahoma Wednesday, the National Weather Service reports.

Rain chances increase Friday night and Saturday with cooler temperatures and a chance of snow moving in Sunday.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 65. South wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 49. South wind 18 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Thursday: Partly sunny with a high near 65. Windy with a south wind 20 to 25 mph with gusts as high as 36 mph.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 34. South wind 9 to 17 mph becoming north, northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with a high near 39. North, northwest wind 13 to 18 mph decreasing to 7 to 12 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Friday night: Rain likely. Cloudy with a low around 34. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Saturday: Rain. High near 41. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

Saturday night: Rain and snow likely. Cloudy with a low around 28. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Sunday: A 20 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy with a high near 35.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 21.

Monday: Sunny with a high near 43.

Monday night: Mostly clear with a low around 28.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 50.
