11:35 a.m. A fire weather watch has been issued in Oklahoma for Tuesday, the National Weather Service reports. Due to strong winds and dry conditions, the watch is in effect for central, western and southeast Oklahoma from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday. Winds could gust up to 40 mph with temperatures up to 60 degrees Tuesday. Check NewsOk.com for updates.

5 a.m. Sunny, windy weather is ahead Monday in central Oklahoma with winds gusting up to 28 mph before calming down in the afternoon, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Monday: Sunny with a high near 58. Northwest wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 9 to 14 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.

Monday night: Mostly clear with a low around 34. West, southwest wind 7 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 51. Windy with a north, northwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 24 to 29 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 28. Northwest wind 9 to 17 mph with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 55. Northwest wind 7 to 9 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 34.

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 57.

Thursday night: Mostly clear with a low around 26.

Friday: Sunny with a high near 46.

Friday night: Mostly clear with a low around 28.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 54.

Saturday night: Mostly clear with a low around 31.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high near 56.
