SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Phoenix guard Goran Dragic is not dressing for the Suns' game against the Utah Jazz because of right a sprained ankle.

Ish Smith is making his first start Wednesday night in place of Dragic, who twisted the ankle in the third quarter of a 110-101 loss to Minnesota on Tuesday. He went to the locker room to have it re-taped, then returned and finished with 16 points in 25 minutes before fouling out. He will have the ankle re-evaluated on Thursday.

Eric Bledsoe is closer to playing after arthroscopic knee surgery on Jan. 10. The guard, who has missed every game since his injury on Jan. 2, practiced three times this week and played in two-on-two and three-on-three games. The Suns have not set a date for his return.

Guard Leonardo Barbosa also is out with a sprained left big toe and center Viacheslav Kravtsov is sidelined with a sprained right ankle.
