EDMOND — The attention and scholarship offers continue to increase for Edmond Santa Fe defensive back Khari Harding.

But through it all, he's just trying to remain humble.

“It makes me feel good ... but I'm not that person to say, ‘Hey look, I got all these offers,'” Harding said.

Harding's eight offers so far — from Arkansas, Arkansas State, Houston, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas State, Memphis and Wyoming — have helped him jump seven spots to No. 6 on The Oklahoman's Super 30.

Harding (6-foot-1, 205 pounds) recorded 71 tackles and three interceptions as a junior for Edmond Santa Fe, which was 10-2 and won its district championship.

He was also responsible for one of the Wolves' more memorable plays of the season. Santa Fe trailed Westmoore 20-7 late in the first half of its district opener before Harding intercepted a pass with 19 seconds left and returned it 62 yards, setting up a touchdown. The Wolves went on to win the game 42-35.

Edmond Santa Fe was 1-9 two seasons ago, when Harding was a sophomore. But after last year's success, Harding and the Wolves are expecting big things in 2012.

“The expectations are high,” Harding said. “It's crazy.”
