Miller threw for 1,922 yards and 19 touchdowns while also rushing for 10 more scores as Lawton reached the Class 6A quarterfinals.
His 6-foot-4 frame has caught the eye of scouts. He only has one official offer right now (Louisiana-Monroe), but that doesn't bother Miller who said he is enjoying the recruiting process.
The last month, like most top recruits, has been one camp after the next, and Miller said the camp at North Texas stood out.
"I wasn't sure what it would be going in, but there was so much enthusiasm and so many great quarterbacks. It was a blast,” Miller said.
For some other teams and recruits, the pressure could be a problem. But not for Miller and not for Lawton, where practices resembled mini-Nike combines because of all the college scouts in attendance.
The pressure isn't there, but Miller already wishes the season was opening this week.
"The intensity has been there all year,” Miller said. "We've had great participation in our summer conditioning. Everybody's fired up.”
