Charlie Strong and the Longhorns have some work to do in the eyes of Texas high school football coaches.

In an anonymous survey by LonghornDigest of four Texas high school football coaches, the University of Texas ranked third behind Texas A&M and Baylor in the state's current program hierarchy.

From one coach: "They could come back right now and take over A&M if they want to. That’s how powerful they are. They can do anything they want. They are the Texas freaking Longhorns. But A&M is on top right now."
