Survivor Story: Margie and Terry West

/> Margie West's eyes welled with tears as she described being the first to find the body of a young neighbor who was killed by the tornado.

However, the couple said what stands out to them today are the many blessings that came out of the storm.

Margie West said she felt blessed to lead the family's insurance adjustor and his wife to the Lord in the tornado's aftermath. And the couple said their home was condemned but not completely destroyed by the storm, and they were able to sell it.

She said she was amazed to find that three metal angels erected in the soil in front of their Moore home were still standing after the storm.

When her young grandson told a family friend that he had seen large angels on top of the house when he arrived just before the storm, she wondered why he hadn't told her about it.

The friend said, “He didn't tell you because he thinks you all saw it, too.”
