Suspect in holiday double homicide surrenders in Arcadia

A man wanted in the July 4 shooting deaths of two men at a family celebration turned himself in to authorities Wednesday afternoon.

Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel said Garrett Harjo, 20, of Arcadia, surrendered about 4 p.m. to sheriff's office investigators.

Harjo is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the shootings of brothers Donald Scott, 34, and Diallo Scott, 39.

Both victims belonged to an Oklahoma City set of the Bloods street gang and had lengthy criminal records, Whetsel said.

Harjo was identified as a member of a Crips gang.
