A suspect was charged Friday in the July 23 fatal shooting of a convenience store clerk during a robbery at 4 Seasons Gas & Food store, 13 NW 63.

Darrien Hasmii Clark, 26, is charged in Oklahoma County District Court with armed robbery and first-degree murder in the death of Habib Hajimirzaei, 62.

Clark was arrested after police investigating a shooting Thursday linked him to the earlier crime, Capt. Dexter Nelson said.

He is the second man to be arrested in Hajimirzaei's death.

Police first arrested Micheal Devereaux, 28, in the homicide, but released him last week pending further investigation, Nelson said.

Second crime scene

Police responded to a burglary and shooting about 5:10 a.m. Thursday at 6453 N Penile.

Garland G. Lenoir IV was shot after he answered his door to meet a man he knew, Nelson said. He said Lenoir was at a hospital in critical condition with life threatening injuries Friday.
