Suspect sought in park slaying

Oklahoma City police obtained an arrest warrant today for a Spencer woman who allegedly shot another woman to death last month at Highland Park.

Vontina Diane Tyler, 24, is wanted on a first-degree murder complaint.

Witnesses told police Tyler and Tannisha Jones, who was arrested last week, argued with several other women at the park on April 27, according to court records.

Tyler fired three shots at Shonda Hamilton after someone else shot a gun, Detective Robbie Benavides wrote.

Hamilton, 18, died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Police determined the bullet that killed Hamilton was consistent with the type of gun used by Tyler, according to Benavides' affidavit.
