'Suspicious package' in House building

Security officials evacuated part of a U.S. House of Representatives office building after discovering a "suspicious package" in the basement.

An officer told The Washington Examiner that a "suspicious package" was found in the basement cafeteria of the Longworth House Office Building, which houses over 200 congressional offices and suites.

The security staff had not determined what the package actually contained, as of approximately 11:55 am.
