COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — Danish club Brondby has signed Sweden international striker Johan Elmander on a two-year-contract after a free transfer from Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray.

Elmander played with Brondby from 2004-06. He joined Dutch team Feyenoord in 2002, and has since played for European clubs including Breda, Toulouse, Bolton Wanderers, and Norwich City.

The 33-year-old Elmander has 20 goals in 72 games for Sweden. He was selected for the 2006 World Cup, Euro 2008 and Euro 2012. Sweden didn't qualify for the World Cup in Brazil.

Brondby finished fourth in Denmark's Superligaen. The Copenhagen suburban club has 10 Danish championships and six Danish Cups.
