KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (AP) — Swiss women's bobsled pilot Caroline Spahni hurt her left hamstring in training on Saturday, though she still plans to compete in the Sochi Olympics.
Competition in women's bobsled starts Tuesday.
Spahni did not tear the hamstring, but irritated a tendon and is dealing with stiffness as a result. She plans on driving in the final training session on Sunday, but will not push the bobsled and instead be seated from the start.
Spahni missed her second planned training run on Saturday because of the injury. The veteran pilot was 11th in the World Cup standings this season, her best finish being a sixth-place showing at Park City, Utah.
