Lately, Jean Simo has a hard time concentrating on her work.

Simo , a sophomore in the University of Central Oklahoma 's nutrition program, originally from Aleppo , the largest city in Syria . Even as she goes to class and works on her coursework, she keeps an eye on news coming out of her home country.
