Three people have been taken into custody for questioning and tactical team members have searched a house at 2705 NW 38 but no one has been found yet.

Police have set up a perimeter this morning and are blocking traffic access at NW 38 and Frankford Avenue on the west, NW 38 and Linn Avenue on the east and between NW 37 and Miller Avenue on the south and NW 39 and Miller on the north side. Traffic is not being allowed into this area.

Tactical team members in protective suits, helmets and rifles are gathering in the neighborhood south of the car. No arrests have been reported.

Investigators are photographing possible evidence this morning west of the sidewalk along the west side of N Miller near a wooden stockade fence. Between NW 39 and NW 38 about a half block north of the patrol car, shattered glass remains in the street. Crime scene trucks remain inside yellow police tape which cordons off the area for a block in each direction.

The officer was hit with several bullets as she was driving north on Miller Avenue near NW 38, Oklahoma City police Capt. Patrick Stewart said. A young Hispanic man on foot approached her police cruiser and fired into the vehicle several times, he said.
