Taking a look at cold temperatures into Saturday

It’s interesting to take a look at the top 15 coolest minimum temperatures today at Oklahoma Mesonet weather stations.

When I looked at 4:45 p.m., the top 15 had lows from 11 a.m. this morning — 34 degrees at Goodwell-  and as late as 4:45 p.m. - 37.5 degrees at Newkirk.

The coolest minimum, so far Friday, was 32.7 degrees record at Boise City at 11:50 a.m.

In the National Weather Service, Norman Forecast Office coverage area there is a Freeze Warning for Harper, Woods, Alfalfa, Grant, Ellis, Woodward, Major, Garfield, Roger Mills, Dewey, Custer, Blaine, Beckham, Washita counties from 10 Friday night until 9 a.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service, Norman.

Also, in the National Weather Service, Norman area, there is a Freeze Warning for Kay, Noble, Kingfisher, Logan, Payne, Harmon and Greer counties from 10 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday.

There is also a Frost Advisory for Caddo, Canadian, Oklahoma, Lincoln, Grady, McClain, Cleveland, Pottawatomie, Seminole, Kiowa, Jackson, Tillman, Comanche, Stephens, Garvin, Cotton counties from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday.
