Talala meningitis victim to receive skin grafts at Ohio hospital

Six-year-old Jeremiah Mitchell , whose arms and legs were amputated due to meningococcemia, underwent surgery Thursday to prepare for a skin graft operation today, a spokeswoman for Shriners Hospital for Children in Cincinnati said.

The kindergartener arrived at the hospital Monday after a three-week stay at Children’s Hospital at St. Francis.
