Heading into the final week of the season, Tampa Bay ace David Price and Washington ace Gio Gonzalez are tied in the standings for the Warren Spahn Award, which is given to baseball's top left-handed pitcher.

Price's start last week vaulted him to the top, but Sunday's start against the White Sox put him in the tie.

If they finish the season tied, the tiebreaker is the pitcher's win total.

Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw won the award last season along with the Cy Young Award. He is quickly falling behind in his bid to repeat.

The standings are determined by averaging the total of each ranking for the pitcher in wins, ERA and strikeouts among left-handers. Here is a breakdown of the unofficial standings for the award through Sunday with left-handed rankings in parentheses for each category:

1. David Price, Tampa Bay, 20 wins (2), 2.56 ERA (1), 205 Ks (4), 2.33 Spahn Average

Price allowed two earned runs in seven innings against the White Sox on Sunday as the Rays kept their slim playoff hopes alive.
