DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A former teacher at a Catholic elementary school in Ohio says she was fired because she was pregnant and not married.

The woman has now filed a lawsuit against the school and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati.

It's the second lawsuit that's been filed in the last two years against the southwest Ohio archdiocese over the firing of a pregnant teacher.

Kathleen Quinlan of Kettering near Dayton says she was fired in 2011 after she told her school's principal about her pregnancy. The Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/VlDm0g) reports that she later delivered twin girls.

She says in the lawsuit that her firing was discriminatory because male employees engaging in premarital sex don't face the same consequences.

A spokesman for the Cincinnati archdiocese says he can't comment on the lawsuit.
