Like a human water buffalo, Tim Tebow barreled over Oklahoma defenders 12 yards for a first down inside the Sooners’ 20-yard line.

OU’s defense made good on its promise to show up and play well, holding Florida to a season-low 24 points.

But late, when the Sooners needed to get Sam Bradford and the offense back on the field, they found no answer to Tebow’s legs.

"He’s a good player,” defensive tackle Gerald McCoy said. "He made some big plays when they needed him.”

OU’s offense striking out twice inside Florida’s 10-yard line proved to be the story of the first half.

As for the second half?

Tebow racked up first downs with nifty ball-handling and powerful running, which limited second-half possessions for the Sooner offense and kept Bradford on the sideline.

The Gators swallowed up almost 12 minutes of the second half in two drives, both ending in touchdowns.
