Two middle school students were arrested Wednesday after all five schools in the Tecumseh school district were locked down, authorities said.

Assistant Superintendent Julie Dawson said the schools were locked down at the request of police early Wednesday as they searched for two middle school boys. Officials did not say why the boys were arrested or whether they made threats against the school. The students' names were not released.

Dawson said the lockdown was lifted Wednesday afternoon before students were dismissed from school for the day.
