ESPN color analyst Jimmy Dykes worked just one basketball game with Bill Teegins, but it must have seemed like a lifetime. And when it was over, it seemed to Dykes like he'd known the affable Teegins for a lifetime.

"It was the only time I had the blessing of working with him, Dykes said Thursday of the Dec. 19 Oklahoma State game against Arkansas-Little Rock in the debut of the new Gallagher-Iba Arena. "Before the game, all Tom Dirato, Sean Sutton and coach (Eddie) Sutton talked about was how nice a guy Bill Teegins was.

Services for Teegins, who also was the KWTV sports director, will be at 10 this morning in the First Baptist Church, 33rd and Bryant in Edmond.

Dykes, who played basketball for Eddie Sutton at Arkansas and coached under him at Arkansas and Kentucky, worked with Teegins on the Cowboy Sports Network's television broadcast that Tuesday night in December.
