Teen burns himself copying online stunt Published: July 29, 2014

LEXINGTON, Ky. - A Lexington teen is recovering after he set himself on fire while performing a dangerous online stunt, WKYT reports.

The 15-year-old boy told WKYT he was attempting to take part in something known as a fire challenge, where a person pours alcohol on their skin and lights it on fire. Videos of people doing the challenge have shown up on Facebook and YouTube.

Lexington firefighters responded to the home of the boy's aunt on Appian Way around noon. They treated him for burns and took him to UK Hospital.

The teenager said one thing the videos never showed was the ending, once the person was no longer on fire.
