Teen soccer player dies after assault in Tulsa; arrest made

TULSA — A teenage Tulsa assault victim who was attacked Saturday after a soccer game died Sunday from his injuries, police said.

Eduardo Ledesma, 16, was beaten about 4:30 p.m. Saturday after he played in a recreational-league soccer game at 3808 S 136 E Ave., Tulsa police officer Leland Ashley said. Paramedics took him to a hospital, where he died Sunday.

Today police arrested Edgar Saucedo, 16, at Tulsa Memorial High School on a murder complaint, police said. A Tulsa schools spokeswoman said Saucedo is a Memorial High School student, and a Bixby schools spokeswoman said Ledesma was a junior at Bixby High School.
