Authorities still were looking Sunday for one of two teen boys taken out of the home of an arrested Oklahoma City police officer after the two ran away Friday.

The two 16-year-old boys were foster children of Oklahoma City police Sgt. Maurice Martinez, who is on paid administrative leave after being arrested Wednesday on sex abuse complaints. The boys were removed from Martinez' home while authorities investigate and placed in state Department of Human Services custody.

The youths were on an outing Friday at Skate Land in Midwest City when they ran away about 8:45 p.m. Friday, Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes said. One of them was found later Friday night, but the other remained missing Sunday.

Clabes said the two 16-year-olds ran away from an outing at Skate Land in Midwest City about 8:45 p.m. Friday.

Martinez, 44, began taking in foster children in 2001 and had about 60 foster children come through his home, DHS spokeswoman Sheree Powell said.

Martinez had three adopted sons and three foster sons in his care at the time of his arrest, Oklahoma City police Capt. Patrick Stewart said. The boys, who were all taken into protective custody, are between 12 and 17 years old.

Powell was unable to give descriptions of the missing teen because of privacy laws.

Officials ask anyone who knows the youth's whereabouts to call 911. has disabled the comments for this article.
