— Teenagers from 16 churches across the state converged on the community for Mission El Reno, an initiative to help residents with home repairs, yard work and other housing needs as well as aiding Mobile Meals, Head Start, the Salvation Army and other ministry and charity groups. Projects included painting and home repairs, yard work, tree limb removal and meal deliveries and collecting canned goods. Many community residents, along with First Christian Church, Wesley United Methodist and Trinity Lutheran Church, pulled together to show hospitality, conduct work projects and entertain the group during their week stay in El Reno that ended Friday.
