Temperatures heating up in Oklahoma Wednesday

A high temperature near 90 degrees is expected in central Oklahoma Wednesday. The National Weather Service forecast shows more hot temperatures ahead.

Temperatures will heat up Wednesday in Oklahoma and continue to rise Thursday, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 90. Windy with a south wind 21 to 24 mph increasing to between 30 and 33 mph. Winds could gust as high as 43 mph.

Wednesday nightt: Mostly clear with a low around 70. Windy with a south wind between 24 and 31 mph with gusts as high as 41 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 91. Windy with a south, southwest wind 23 to 26 mph decreasing to between 11 and 14 mph. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 72. South, southeast wind between 11 and 16 mph with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 90. Windy with a south wind between 17 and 25 mph.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 71.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 89.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 69.

Sunday: Sunny with a high near 89.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 68.

Memorial Day: Mostly sunny with a high near 88.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 67.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny with a high near 88.
