Temperatures near freezing in central Oklahoma Thursday

Central Oklahoma is under a winter weather advisory for Thursday morning. Western Oklahoma is under a freezing fog advisory, the National Weather Service reports.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. Thursday as temperatures hover near the freezing mark in central Oklahoma.

The low overnight in Oklahoma City has been 33 degrees. Elevated roadways could be slick with ice.

Parts of western Oklahoma are under a freezing fog advisory Thursday morning.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Thursday: Patchy freezing fog before 9 a.m. Cloudy with a high near 41. East, northeast wind 5 to 11 mph becoming south, southeast in the afternoon.

Thursday night: A chance of drizzle then rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm after midnight. Cloudy with a low around 38. South, southeast wind 11 to 17 mph with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Friday: A 50 percent chance of rain mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy with a high near 56. South wind 14 to 22 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 31. West, northwest wind 8 to 13 mph.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 59. West wind 8 to 13 mph.

Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 35.

Sunday: Sunny with a high near 66.

Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 36.

Monday: Sunny with a high near 57.

Monday night: Mostly clear with a low around 34.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 57.
