Temperatures are not expected to rise above the freezing mark Wednesday in central Oklahoma. The high in Oklahoma City will be near 31 degrees.

Freezing weather continues in central Oklahoma Wednesday, the National Weather Service reports.

Despite sunshine Wednesday, the high temperature will be near 31 degrees with a north wind gusting up to 23 mph in Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 31. North wind 8 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 17. North wind 5 to 7 mph becoming south after midnight.

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 39. South wind 7 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Thursday night: A slight chance of rain or freezing rain after midnight. Partly cloudy with a low around 31. South wind 9 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Friday: A 30 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy with a high near 45. South wind 6 to 11 mph.

Friday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 27.

Saturday: Partly sunny with a high near 37.

Saturday night: Mostly clear with a low around 24.

Sunday: Sunny with a high near 48.

Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 29.

Monday: Sunny with a high near 54.

Monday night: Mostly clear with a low around 32.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 52.
