Temperatures warming into the upper 40s Wednesday in central Oklahoma

After a frigid morning, temperatures will warm up Wednesday in central Oklahoma. The high temperature in Oklahoma City will be near 47 degrees with sunny skies, the National Weather Service reports.

Temperatures will warm into the 40s in central Oklahoma Wednesday, the National Weather Service reports.

At 6:20 a.m. Wednesday the temperature was 17 degrees in Oklahoma City, the weather service reported.

Skies will be sunny with a high near 47 degrees in central Oklahoma Wednesday.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 47. Southwest wind 6 to 13 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 29. North, northwest wind 7 to 11 mph.

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 47. North wind 8 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Thursday night: Mostly clear with a low around 28. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph after midnight.

Friday: Sunny with a high near 54. South wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.

Friday night: Mostly clear with a low around 34.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 59.

Saturday night: Mostly clear with a low around 31.

Sunday: Sunny with a high near 50.

Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 28.

M.L. King Jr. Day: Mostly sunny with a high near 37.

Monday night: Mostly clear with a low around 24.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 43.
