Temperatures warming up in Oklahoma Wednesday

After days of bitterly cold temperatures, Oklahoma is warming up Wednesday. Temperatures will be in the upper 60s by Sunday.

Winter storms have passed through Oklahoma and temperatures are warming up for the rest of the week and into the weekend, the National Weather Service reports.

Skies will be sunny Wednesday in central Oklahoma with temperatures above 40 degrees.

The warming trend will continue through Sunday with sunny skies and temperatures in the 50s and 60s through Sunday.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 41. West, southwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming north, northwest in the afternoon.

Wednesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 28. North, northwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm.

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 56. South, southwest wind 7 to 11 mph.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 36. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming northwest after midnight.

Friday: Sunny with a high near 56. North, northwest wind 8 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Friday night: Mostly clear with a low around 35.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 65.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 38.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high near 67.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 47.

Washington's Birthday: Mostly sunny with a high near 64.

Monday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 38.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 64.
