Sunshine with temperatures in the low 80s return Tuesday for another pleasant summer day in central Oklahoma.

Daily high temperatures will stay in the 80s through Independence Day, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 83. Northwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming north, northeast in the afternoon.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 61. Northeast wind 3 to 8 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming east 5 to 7 mph in the morning.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 63. East, southeast wind 6 to 9 mph.

Independence Day: Sunny with a high near 86. East, southeast wind 6 to 10 mph.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 66.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 87.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 66.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny with a high near 89.

Saturday night: Mostly clear with a low around 69.

Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny with a high near 89.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 70.

Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny with a high near 89.
