Tennis stars Andy Roddick, Mardy Fish to face off in Oklahoma City

The two highest ranked American men's tennis players, Andy Roddick vs. Mardy Fish, headline the Oklahoma Tennis Classic, Sept. 25 at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.

Tickets go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. at the Cox Convention Center Box Office, and are available online at ticketmaster.com, or by calling 1-800-745-3000.

Roddick, currently ranked 10 in the world,joins Roger Federer as the only active players to be ranked in the top 10 in the world for the past nine years. The 2003 U.S. Open champion has compiled 30 singles titles, and earned over $19 million in prize money.

Fish, ranked 9th in the world, is currently the highest ranked American player on the ATP Tour. He was won five professional tournaments, and captured the silver medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.

Fish and Roddick were high school basketball and tennis teammates at Boca Prep in Boca Raton, Fla.

University of Oklahoma men's tennis coach John Roddick will team with his brother Andy in a doubles match prior to the headline singles match in Oklahoma City. They will face Fish and tour player David Martin, a Tulsa native.
