After fatally shooting a robber May 19, the pharmacist picked up a drugstore phone and said, "This is Col. Jerome Ersland. I’ve just shot and killed someone,” a witness said Friday.

Megan West, a Reliable Discount Pharmacy employee, testified Friday at a preliminary hearing for two murder defendants accused of getting two teenagers to pull the robbery.

Her testimony, though, gave new insights into the separate murder case of Ersland, who is accused of going too far when he shot robber Antwun Parker five more times after knocking Parker down with a shot to the head.

Ersland’s preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 4.

West said two masked robbers came in the drugstore.

She said one had a gun and pointed it at her and her mother who also worked at the pharmacy.

She said she and her mother fled to the back. She testified Ersland said, "I’ve got it. Go.”

She said she heard one robber say, "Oh ... the guy’s got a gun” and "I’m going to shoot your ass. Ongoing Coverage: Pharmacy Shooting
