Texas Instruments loses 3 percent

DALLAS -- Shares of semiconductor maker Texas Instruments Inc. fell more than 3 percent Friday, a day after the company raised its outlook for profits in the second quarter.

The company said after the close of regular trading Thursday that it expected to earn 46 cents to 48 cents per share in the April-June period, up from an earlier prediction of 38 cents to 43 cents per share.
