Reid said he injured his right knee against Jackson State on Oct. 18 and reinjured it the following week against Alcorn State.

Dr. Walter Lowe, the Houston Texans’ team physician who performed the surgery, told Houston television station KRIV he expects Reid to make a full recovery.

Reid’s goal is a shot at the NFL, and he hopes he will get drafted in April.

Lowe said Reid will be ready by training camp.

I never want to see any athlete sustain an injury but Reid was a cancer for OSU.

I do question Bobby's character. He plainly stated that he believed that race was a factor in why Mike Gundy benched him. Go read all the Bobby Reid articles on ESPN and see for yourself. Bobby believed (and still believes) he is entitled to what he wants and shouldn't have to work hard and compete.

Bobby is a crybaby whiney mama's boy and OSU is playing MUCH better this season because Bobby isn't there creating division among the OSU players and coaches.

I would have never commented on Bobby's character (or lack thereof) had Bobby had the maturity to keep his mouth shut about Gundy. Bobby is now truly getting what he deserves - a hard learned life lesson.

It isn't fair to say he didn't develop at Texas Southern. They have won more games with him under center this year than they have the past 3 years combined.

Some people have no class. A in OKC, I would be ashamed to put my name down also with your comments. I think it will be difficult for Bobby to make the cut on a Pro team (the percentages are against the vast majority of college players trying to make it in the pros) but I wish him the best. Good kid caught in a difficult situation and I agree fully with what Neel stated. Bobby always wanted to be a traditional quarterback known for his passing skills and not his running skills. That fit Mile's system and not what Gundy was asking him to do. The pro system is passing and does not ask the QB to run. Note Vince Young. As great a college QB as Vince was, he has struggled to be a pocket passing QB in the pros. Bobby, give it your best effort and maybe just the opposite will happen for you. You were asked to run in college but maybe the pro scheme will fit your talents better. Best of luck. Rockey, Houston

John if you think about it he wasnt brought in under Gundy he was brought in by Les Miles who ran a completely different system than what Fedora did hence why he wasnt able to adapt and have much sucess he only had one season at Texas Southern which isnt really long enough to get a grasp of a different system....either way he has alot of upside if he puts his best foot forward.....

I wonder if Jenni will have a follow up story about chicken and knees?

Best of luck to Bobby. Hope the NFL gives him a shot.

Neel in Suggar Land. No one said anything about Bobby Reed's character. He was a prize coming out of high school that never developed into a great player. I doubt if the NFL will be impressed with Reed's college stats, or lack of them.

Good luck kid.

I don't agree with people bashing college kids either Neel, but saying this kid is a class act is stretching it. He and his momma blame Mike Gundy for all his struggles at OSU. He needs to grow up a bit and accept responsibility. If he does that, he definitely will be successful, either in football our outside of it.

such idiots...the kid is hurt and all you can do is dump on him???!!! low class clowns like you guys should be kept off the boards....to Bobby however this sucks man but I know you will rebound well and wish you a speedy recovery and best of luck...for you two idiots before me do you even know him do you know what he has accomplished in life??? Trust me his accomplishments on and off the feild are more than you two goons can even dream of accomplishing.....He is a class act and I am very blessed to have known him while he was at OSU and he is more of what our society needs! Oh well goons will be goons! Once again wish you a quick recovery bobby and best of luck! God Bless Go Pokes!

Bobby Reed couldn't get it done at OSU. Couldn't get it done at Texas Southern. Why does he think the NFL would be interested?

NFL does not draft water boys. Bobby, I hope your OSU degree was in something that you can get a decent job.
