As the final seconds wound down Saturday night, ABC analyst Kirk Herbstreit said: "The Red Raiders arrived in Norman with a chance to play in a BCS bowl, possibly play for a national title. Now they’ll have to settle for the Holiday or Cotton Bowl.”

As his ESPN buddy, Lee Corso, often says: "Not so fast my friend.”

The Big 12’s two BCS bowl bids will go to Texas and Oklahoma... as long as both teams win out.

If Oklahoma State defeats OU on Saturday night in Stillwater, the Red Raiders would win the South with a victory over Baylor. If that scenario happens, Texas Tech and Missouri would play Dec. 6 in Kansas City, Mo., for the conference’s automatic BCS berth, and Oklahoma would be the team left out of the BCS mix.
