Regarding “Texoma developer has failed, lawsuit claims” (News, Jan. 11): Even if the state gets back the land and builds a new lodge, Texoma isn't going to be much of a recreation destination until the Corps of Engineers stops draining the lake every fall. In August the lake was above normal. Between then and now the lake level has been drawn down until now it's at 66 percent of capacity. Public docks and launch sites are pretty much unusable. Until spring rains refill the lake, it isn't of much use for recreation.
