Showtime’s “The Big C” is wrapping up after three seasons in the limited series event “The Big C: Hereafter,” composed of four hour-long episodes debuting at 9 p.m. Monday, April 29.
Details on “The Big C,” provided by Showtime, are as follows:
Cathy Jamison (Golden Globe winner Laura Linney) has always played by the rules. That is, until she finds out she’s got cancer. But instead of giving up, Cathy decides to live it up. She is going to say and do exactly what she wants from here on out. No more submitting to her son’s pranks, no more indulging her husband’s childish ways, and no more letting her students walk all over her. It’s Cathy’s turn to live, and she’s skipping the main course and going straight to the liquor and dessert.
In “The Big C: Hereafter”: Now more than ever, with her friends and family at her side, Cathy is up to the challenge of living every day as if it were her last, and, in the premiere, Cathy plans a birthday party for Adam’s sweet sixteen, and Paul hires a new assistant for his motivational speaking campaign.
Oliver Platt, Gabriel Basso, John Benjamin Hickey and Gabourey Sidibe are also among the series’ cast.
