James Harden has yet to play one second for the Thunder, but already, there are reasons to love the team’s first pick in Thursday night’s NBA Draft.
1. His bowtie:
Harden stepped out on a fashion limb at the draft, but he looked sharp. It showed some personality.
→2. His mama:
Monja Willis has worked for the phone company for 28 years. That’s some serious dedication and a great example for her son.
→3. His number:
Harden has worn No. 13 since high school. No fear. Then again, his nickname has always been "Lucky.”
→4. His presence:
Listening to him talk after the draft, Harden sounded mature beyond his 19 years.
→5. His beard:
Not the norm for hot-shot basketball players. Harden isn’t afraid to be different and have some fun.
