OU’s Nicole Griffin will be key against James Madison

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Standing 6 feet tall in the sixth grade, Nicole Griffin noticed the stares and heard the whispers in public.

“You’d hear, ‘Oh my gosh, she’s tall,’ or ‘I wonder how tall she is?’ ” Griffin said. “I was a little self-conscious. I’m still quiet. But I was even more shy back then.”
